    Lean is a philosophy, not a method. It's more akin to a philosophical discussion. Its primary goal is to provide "value" to the user, rather than to eliminate waste. You need to bring flow to processes in order to produce value, and you need to detect and reduce wastes or NVAs between activities in order to provide flow. After then, a Pull system may be required to enable just-in-time production or processing.
